Don’t Stair

See that little protrusion to the left of Thumb Butte? Turns out it’s a very weird house built by an architect named Sukumar Pal in 1994. It’s called Falcon’s Nest. If you’ve ever wanted to live it a place that is considered to be the tallest single-family residence in North America, look no further.

I’m not sure if it has an elevator or not though. One write up I saw said “Getting to the very top of this towering house means climbing up 144 stairs.” Oh, and they followed it up with, “Like most strenuous climbs, the view from the top is definitely worth it.”  Ha ha ha. If you’re still alive.

While I considered it a bit of an eyesore when seen from a distance, it’s actually kind of weirdly cool up close. I could easily imagine riding my bicycle around the glass enclosed living space in a silver penguin costume. Assuming I could carry it up the stairs of course.
