I went for a hike on Wednesday with some folks I hadn’t seen in more than 20 years (Mike worked for Easton). They moved here last year and are avid hikers. They love this place.

A view looking out over the Hassayampa area of Prescott. You can see some (hopefully) controlled burns going on in the hills to the south.

We hiked up Thumb Butte, which I thought was going to be a really tough hike. But it turns out, you start about half way up and don’t really go to the very top (shown here).

My first javelina sighting (aka Collared Peccary). I’m told they leave a scent reminiscent of skunk behind them. I didn’t test the theory.
