White Pow(d)er

Things have gotten a little more serious on the weather front here. I woke up to a lot of white stuff on the…well, everything, really. A nice neighbor brought by a genuine snow shovel this morning so I could shovel my entryway and driveway. Fortunately, I had prior experience using a shovel and was able to get through it pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the snow has continued and has pretty much undone my efforts. Lesson learned: Shoveling is futile.

Here’s the entryway prior to shoveling. Not that it looks any different after shoveling. Just bigger piles on the edges. It’s 11:00 now. The snow is forecast to continue until 5 or 6:00.

The Alligator Juniper looks nice with little tufts of white. Also interesting how even the covered part of the deck gets a coat of snow. The chairs on the deck tend to migrate because of the wind. Ya just never know where you’re going to find them.
